It was morning. Once she put on her work clothes and skilfully slipped an apron on her almost naked body, Sophia the potter entered the studio and started to work. Pieces of clay were lying on the table in front of her, and the fire was burning nearby in the furnace. The day was going to be hot...
Clay seemed to be singing and dancing in her hands, transforming in front of her eyes, assuming an elegant shape, turning into a beautiful and graceful vessel. A vessel that will always keep the warmth and tenderness of her hands...

Grandes pedaços de barro ficaram no armário a noite toda. Eles sabiam que um oleiro encantador certamente os transformaria em um lindo vaso brilhando ao sol com todos os tons de vermelho, um objeto elegante com borda dourada e alças cinzeladas. Era de manhã. Depois de vestir a roupa de trabalho e colocar habilmente um avental no corpo quase nu, a oleira Sophia entrou no ateliê e começou a trabalhar. Pedaços de barro estavam sobre a mesa à sua frente, e o fogo ardia próximo na fornalha. O dia ia ser quente...
